Last Wednesday, Devon International Group hosted it’s first ever Health and Wellness Fair for employees at its international headquarters in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. In an effort to promote a healthy work environment and promote further engagement in the DIG community, our employees gathered Wednesday afternoon for two hours of health and wellness education with the 12 educational booths from around the Philadelphia metro area in our event hall.
Over 100 DIG employees attended and were able to learn all about health and wellness, and the advantages to living an active and healthy lifestyle both in and outside the office from the diverse range of vendors who came out to the event. Some of these vendors included well known names, such as Herbalife, LA Fitness, and Jenny Craig, as well as local vendors such as Upper Merion Township Parks & Recreation.
Additionally, the We DIG You events committee planned a number of complimentary activities for all of the participants! DIG employees got the opportunity to schedule a free 15 minute chair massage with Trooper Road Chiropractic. A number of employees also participated in scheduled fitness events, including a 20 minute Zumba demonstration complimentary of Zumba® fitness company, and a 20 minute class demonstration of shadowboxing, hitting on mitts, and a core workout thanks to the instructors of UFC GYM® located in Exton, Pennsylvania.
The event was a resounding success and all of DIG is ecstatic about the turn out! The We DIG You committee hopes to turn this Health and Wellness Fair into an annual event with the hopes of inspiring an active and happier lifestyle for all of our employees.
